   What is GWRRA?

Established in 1977, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is an International Association that provides an atmosphere for fun, safety, and knowledge to Gold Wing and Valkyrie motorcycle owners. GWRRA is a social organization formed for the pleasure, recreation, safety, exchange of information, coordination of common motorcycle efforts, promotion of camaraderie and friendship of its Members and chapters, without political or religious affiliations or influence. Other purposes include:

  • Assisting all motorcyclists in achieving and/or improving public acceptance of motorcyclists.
  • Member support of civic, local, police, charity, and government organizations.
  • Education of the non-motorcycling public concerning motorcycling problems.
  • Dissemination of safety information relating to motorcycling and motorcyclists.
  • Supporting the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF).
  • Being a family oriented organization.
  • Promoting and enlarging the Association’s Membership.
  • To publish and distribute Wing World and other media that will inform, entertain, educate and enlighten our Members and officers.

The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is the world’s largest single-marquee social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing and Valkyrie motorcycles -- and some would say, the world’s largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization.

Since 1977, GWRRA has grown to more than 82,000 U.S., Canadian and international members in 55 foreign countries in . Over 880 active Chapters are managed by 4,000 volunteer leaders working with members to foster safe, enjoyable riding while also working to improve the public image of motorcycling.

Once you join GWRRA, you can participate with as many Chapters as you choose. You decide your own level of involvement and time. Wherever you go, wherever you travel, you’re welcomed. Monthly Chapter get-togethers are pleasant, social occasions. There are no expectations, riding requirements, elections, politics, required uniforms or Chapter dues.

Arkansas has some of the most beautiful roads for riding in the U.S. We are blessed with the Ozark and Ouachita Mountains and their foothills. These provide a wide variety of vistas and you can ride all day enjoying the bounty that Arkansas roads have to offer. Arkansas in the fall is just beyond this writer’s ability to describe. A trip through the Ozarks during the autumn changing of colors is most certainly a magnificent experience.

Come join us and enjoy riding like you have only dreamed. Contact us for information and great stories. You are also invited to join us at any of our meetings. Check the Events and Contact Us buttons for more information.
